My Summer Quest

For those of you who know me, could you see me getting a picture with Sharky at the Mall of America? How about walking someone's dog and spending time with that dog? Watching a scary movie? Going to a party?

You probably answered, "NO! EMILIE! YOU'LL START TO CRY AND/OR CONVULSE! STOP YOURSELF!"

But, in fact, I will be completing those tasks and more by the end of this summer. Without complaining.
College is not a place for nerdy, anti-social, dog-fearing, nighttime-hating teenager to be. For those who don't know me, I don't like dogs, the sun, or large groups of people. I never stay up late and would rather read books all day instead of hanging out with people. I am going to confront my irrational fears all before the summer is over as to hopefully help myself become better prepared for the random things in the world I do not want to face! I'll have a witness for each event and hopefully a picture or two for each one.

My checklist, although not necessarily in this order, is as follows:
1. Watch a scary movie.
2. Go for a walk at night.
3. Eat at McDonald's.
4. Go to a party.
5. Walk a dog and spend time with that dog.
6. Get a picture with Sharky at the Mall of America.
7. Literally stay up for an entire night.
8. Listen to at least three songs of screamo in a row.
9. Watch an entire soccer game.
10. Go the the beach when it is sunny.
11. Eat Blazin' wings at BWW.
12. Use a small purse without every single necessary item in that purse.
13. Eat white bread.
14. Dive off a diving board.
